GENERAL INFORMATION
The entrance to the rental location is on Hawthorne Avenue. When you arrive, walk into the front office. If an agent is not present, please ring the bell for service. Please do not walk into the garage behind the office and stay within the safety area. Our team will be happy to help you.
LOCATION SPECIFIC RULES
This is a direct rental office and a Turo pickup spot. For Turo guidelines, please refer to the Turo App and your Turo reservation information. For direct rentals, please note these rules and guidelines:
Additional Driver Cost
If your spouse meets the same age and license requirements as you, the primary driver, there would be no additional charge. Any other person listed as additional driver would incur a $15 per rental day fee. Any additional driver must be present and hold a valid driver’s license at the time of rental.
Rentals secured by certain payment methods or insurance products only allow for your spouse or domestic partner to be an additional driver.
Age restriction and charges
We rent to guests 21 years through 85.
If you are 21 – 24 years old, an under age fee of $19/day will apply.
If you are 81 – 85 years old, a senior fee of $19/day will apply.
Cancellation / no show policy and cost
Once you book your car we will block it for you. If you believe you might be late to pick it up, please contact us so we can update your pick-up time. Bookings where the car is not picked up within 2 hours of the start time may be cancelled.
If you do not show up to pick up your vehicle and you don’t cancel your booking within 24 hours before your booking time, you may be charged a cancellation fee of 1 day of rental or $50, whichever is higher. This last-minute cancellation / no show fee will be applied if it’s determined that you are not eligible to rent with us (for example, unacceptable driving record, no insurance, inability to pay for the deposit, invalid or no driver’s license, or no credit card, among other requirements).
Cross border restrictions and cost
You are allowed to drive in California, Nevada, and Arizona and within a 200-mile radius from our location. Driving the car to Mexico or Canada is a material breach of the rental agreement. Driving the vehicle outside the 200-mile perimeter is not permitted. If our vehicle is removed out of the United States, you will be charged a $1,000.00 fee, in addition to any penalties and damages from the material breach of the Rental Contract and cost of recovering the vehicle. Driving outside of the set perimeter would be in breach of the agreement and you could be liable for additional costs, fees, and added per-mile charges.
Deposit / pre-authorization information
All rentals will require paying a deposit. Deposits will be determined at time of rental and may vary between $250 and $1500 or more. Some situations that might affect your deposit include your driving record, type of insurance used, age, and payment card. Deposits are processed as a charge to your credit card and are refunded usually within 10 days of returning the car.
Driver's license and ID instructions
California Law requires that all renters are in possession of a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
Temporary licenses issued in the United States are accepted when accompanied by an unexpired, government-issued photo-id (Passport, State ID, Military ID, Green Card, etc.).
Licenses issued by other countries are accepted.
International Driver’s Licenses or International Driver’s permits are not considered legal licenses in the United States and cannot be accepted for rental.
Military personnel, whether active or not must also hold a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
Drop-off charges
All vehicles must be picked up and dropped off at our location. If you abandon our vehicle anywhere, but at our lot, you will be liable for all recovery and towing fees, and a $300 minimum recovery fee.
Forms of payment
We accept major credit cards with VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover logos.
Business debit cards and personal debit cards might be accepted on a per-casis basis and could have an additional surcharge.
Cash deposits or rental payments are not accepted.
The credit card used to pay for your booking and deposit must match the name on your driver’s license.
Fuel policy and costs
You will get your car with a full tank of gas. You are expected to bring the car back with a full tank as well. We will charge you up to $16.00 per missing gallon of gas or the rate shown on the Rental Contract Summary. The difference in fuel level between the amount of gas the Vehicle was picked up to the Renter and the gas level with which the Vehicle was returned will be rounded to the nearest 1/8th of a tank.
The fuel charge is not a retail sale of fuel.
Insurance information
California law requires all vehicles to be insured to certain minimum standards. It is your responsibility to make sure the car is insured at all times for collision, comprehensive, and liability.
We will verify that you have at least collision and comprehensive coverages upon picking up the car.
We will accept any of the following as valid insurance:
- Personal Auto Insurance Policy issued in the United States that transfers to the rental vehicle and covers Collision and Comprehensive
- Credit card insurance (when the whole rental and deposit is paid with the card)
- Third-party travel insurance vouchers that cover Car Rental vehicles.
If you have none of the above, you may be able to purchase Renter’s Collision Protection (RCP), Travel protection (TP), Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), or Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) from us.
You might be able to purchase other insurance products such as Renter’s Liability Protection (RLP), Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), Personal Effects Coverage (PEC), and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) to better protect your trip.

About Los Angeles
Los Angeles (US: /lɔːs ˈændʒələs/ lawss AN-jəl-əs; Spanish: Los Ángeles [los ˈaŋxeles], lit. ’The Angels’), often referred to by its initials L.A., is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Southern California. Los Angeles is the largest city in the state of California, the second most populous city in the United States after New York City, and one of the world’s most populous megacities. With a population of roughly 3.9 million residents within the city limits as of 2020, Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic and cultural diversity, being the home of the Hollywood film industry, and its sprawling metropolitan area. The majority of the city proper lies in a basin in Southern California adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in the west and extending partly through the Santa Monica Mountains and north into the San Fernando Valley, with the city bordering the San Gabriel Valley to its east. It covers about 469 square miles (1,210 km2), and is the county seat of Los Angeles County, which is the most populous county in the United States with an estimated 9.86 million residents as of 2022.
Fun fact: Los Angeles was originally inhabited by the indigenous Tongva people.
